Man it is still dark and raining like hard in Fruithurst and Heflin. We have been pounded by this stuff. You all please be safe the traffic is usually crazy in this kind of weather. Thanks 2Stater for the report on Chechem. Praise God he is safe and having a lot of fun. RTR!

This happens when your learner's permitted daughter thinks she has time to cross a street, but a speeding teenager has other ideas.  (I was in the passenger seat).

A miracle no one was badly hurt.

Whoa!  I bet that was a heckuva a ride.  Glad y'all came out okay!

Is that on Holmes close to UAH by any chance?  The house across the road looks familiar.

Good morning.  Coffee

Hard to post following such dramatic photos of that wreck.  Wow.  Very frightening.

One cool thing I saw yesterday in YNP.  I noticed the balsamroot (wildflower) was blooming all along the Madison River.  It lines the sloping banks, and lights up every scene.  Really nice.  BTW, grizzly bears like to eat the roots.  Here is a pic of it I took in Tetons NP.

Still can’t get over how lucky y’all were, CP. Glad y’all are ok.

Hit a T-storm heading this way, so I think I’ll wait for it to pass before I go walking. The rain just never seems to end up here. Stats show that Pensacola has the second most rainfall in the country. It ain’t got nothing on Greenville, SC this year.

No, it is on Mountain Gap.  Accidents happen frequently here.  There is a downhill stretch on Mountain Gap with a blind curve that some folks tend to speed around, and the street crossing over is just past the curve.

I was wearing shorts and Birkenstocks, and had to kick out the windshield to get out of the car.  Really a testament to Toyota engineering.  The impact happened next to where I was sitting, the car flipped 3/4 times around, and my only injuries were a seat belt gash on my chest, a sucker punch to my face from the side air bags, and a small cut on my leg from the windshield.  I went home, took a shower to wash off any glass particles, then drove to the hospital where my daughter was being checked out.  (Turns out her injuries were less than mine.)

Keep up with the photos Chech.  I am enjoying them -- been a few years since I've been to Montana/Wyoming.

Thanks, CP.  Glad I drive a Toyota too (Highlander).  Toast 4

Good morning folks.  I'm so glad that CP and daughter are ok.  That looked like it could have easily been much worse.  We got a pretty bad storm last night around 8:30 but it was short-lived, just lots of rain.  Probably more today... I'm pretty much done with all the rain this spring...
