Started raining during the night and still is very slow though. Guess it is a set in all day thing. You all have a Blessed day I guess this is my saddest holiday. Just praying for all those families and friends. RTR!

Today isn't a sad holiday for me Preacher.  While it is a solemn day it is a day that I look at as a day to remember and appreciate the freedoms that we enjoy with thanks given to those that we lost.  Yes, it is sad that we had to lose even one single life to gain our freedoms, I doubt any of those that died would want us to be sad... but I could be wrong.

Good morning folks.  Still no rain from Alberto. Just pop-up showers that roll through around mid-afternoon each day.  I'm not complaining though.  I would much rather have the pop-up variety than what they have been predicting we would get for the last few days...  Good luck fishing/critter watching Chech.  Hope you can stay dry 2.  I hope you all have a safe Memorial Day today too.
... and it just started raining here...  Angry

I wasn't sad about it...    Sometimes being the odd man out is a good thing...

NALT you may be right to some degree but I remember the laughs and hanging out we did at the down time. I know they gave for our FREEDOM but I just can't be glad that we left friends behind. God Bless my friend. Rangers Lead The Way! RTR!

Well your perspective is a LOT different than mine.  You actually served with some of those that we lost.  I honestly do not know of anyone that died serving out country.  My hat is off to those that died and to the people that were directly related/associated with them too...

Well, it's finally stopped raining long enough for me to walk this morning. Yesterday was a complete washout, so Mrs 2 and I put everything back on the walls, and now our renovation, at least downstairs, is near completion. WOOOT!!!

Now, if I can just talk her into leaving the upstairs alone for a while.

Good morning folks.  No rain for us right now but it sure is missing a good chance.  Probably will be starting soon though.  I'm sure Preacher is in the middle of a frog strangler down there where he is... Nice day off yesterday.  My 2nd youngest daughter (20 y/o) came by yesterday with her 10 month old son.  It was good to see them.  It was only the 2nd time that I've seen the little one but we enjoyed getting to spend time with him.  He is a quiet and happy baby.  True shame that he doesn't have a father that is worth anything... Hope you all have a great day.  I'm off to check out the Chech thread...

Good morning. Already Hump Day. I heard from Chech last night. The Internet was out at the hotel, so no picks this time. Maybe tonight.

We had torrential rainfall last night. Everything around here is saturated and I’m sure rivers are coming out of their banks affecting low lying areas. More rain forecast for today. Looks like most of you in Alabama took Alberto head on. Hope everybody is ok.

Good morning. Coffee

Indeed the WiFi is goofy at the motel. Should be fixed today.

Prayers to those impacted by the storm. Hope you guys are okay despite the rain. LF said we got 1.5” of rain yesterday but no major problems. Much worse in Alabama.

Off to the lake again today. I caught 20-30 fish yesterday (lost count). Most were whitefish. Maybe I can find the trout honey hole today!!

Good morning folks.  We're still getting rain here but not all the time.  We get a short-lived but very hard downpour then the skies clear and we enjoy sunshine and blue skies for a few minutes.  Rinse and repeat.

I have to ask for prayers from y'all if you don't mind.  The father of one of my co-workers had an accident involving his tractor about 2 weeks ago.  He had been working on it and went to start it up while standing beside or behind it.  It was apparently in gear and when it started it hit him resulting in a broken arm, several broken ribs, and severe damage to one of his legs that required vascular surgery a few days later.  He is about 77 y/o.  About 2 or 3 days after the accident he suffered a mild stroke.  On Monday night of this week he had a heart attack.  Fortunately he is in Vanderbilt University hospital so he is getting extremely good care but he needs all of the prayers that he can get on his behalf.  TIA...
