The rock solid BC defense gave up a meager 23.5 points a game and their Butkus Award winning LB led a tough run-stopping D that finished 60th in the nation. No doubt the outstanding leadership and D he represented helped him win the award.

I'm not privy to the formulas,--maybe even the BCS is NOT afforded that privilege. But I am not sure that it requires OSU to leapfrog Bama, but simply enough votes OR lack of (being left completely off a rogue ballot) to tip the scales. HTH
