Title: First Day of Pads in Tuscaloosa
Post by: Yellow Pup on March 25, 2011, 06:37:50 PM
The first couple of days of spring practice are generally light affairs where players mainly get back into the football routine by going through position drills and conditioning exercises in helmets and gym shorts. This afternoon, however, marks day three of spring camp and with that the pads go on and the real work begins. This is not to denigrate the value and the importance of the work previously done, but as Bryant himself once said, "Simply put, football is eyes, movement, and contact," and at some point you have to strap on the pads to develop further and separate the wheat from the chaff.........

I think the work they do now is recognized by the players as having a big effect on who plays in that NCG. RTR!
