Title: Vandy bb coach to player, "I'm going to f---ing kill you."

Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings has apologized for a postgame incident Thursday night in which he was caught on camera berating Commodores player Wade Baldwin IV profanely, at one point saying, "I'm going to f---ing kill you."

Baldwin was taunting the Tennessee players after the loss.  That's apparently a no-no at Vandy.

Video and more detail than is warranted.

"Hey, coach, those cameras are always running!"

Good idea. Poor execution.

Stallings is very good coach and normally a class act. This was out of character for him. He obviously feel strong about how his player acted toward their opponent in defeat and handled the situation about as bad as he possibly could.

With that said I hope we beat their azz today!

There are better ways to make a point to kids than to make an idle threat like he did.  Like suspending him from all practice/game activity for couple of weeks. After that he would have to work even harder to 1. get back in "game" shape and 2. earn his playing time back.

Stallings definitely could have handled the situation much better than simply lashing out like he did, but at the same time I think people who are jumping on him for the "I'm going to kill you" line are getting their panties in a wad for nothing. Most people in their lives have offhandedly said to someone, "man, I'm going to kill you" and obviously (I would hope) know they are not being serious. IMHO, it is just another example of what a sports radio guy here in Baltimore calls the "continuing wussification of America."
