Volunteer Info About Hackleburg or Phil Campbell

Does anyone have any info on volunteer oppurtunities for Phil Campbell or Hackleburg? I live in Northeast Jefferson county, but I feel these very small towns need some major help. Hackleburg, population around 1600 has 27 dead. Phil Campbell, pop. 1100 has 12 dead. Both towns have been flattened. It seems Tuscaloosa & Bham area have a ton of help, so I am considering volunteering to help, like cutting up trees, picking up debris, clean-up stuff. If someone can provide me a phone number and or location for these areas I would appreciate it.

Does anyone know if phil campbell or hackleburg is accepting volunteers for clean up yet? Also heard donations are being re-routed back to russellville. So many different stories...don't know what is going on. Just wanted to make sure prior to leaving @ 630 in the morning. Thank you!

I dont know about Phil Cambell, but I have heard and read from multiple sources that hackleburg is gone.  There was a lady on the radio from Hamilton that said they arent letting anyone get over there.

Yeah, Rainsville is in DeKalb county. The deah toll for the county is 35. I probably won't try to do anything until Tuesday, at the earliest. I am leaning more towards Hackleburg and/or Phil Campbel. Also, areas of Calhoun county got hit hard with 9 deaths, so I am looking at that area, too. I lived in Oxford for 13 years, great area.

Yeah, they had looters at the plant after the tornado. Incredible dirtbags. Thanks for the photos, they just reenforce the level of destruction and death at the location.

I live in Hamilton, AL. Just a little south of Hackleburg and Phil Campbell.

I have not seen these places, but my boyfriend has. I seen the photos and it is unbelieveable.

We just hope and pray and give all we can.

Hamilton is a nice little town, I bought an ATV there about 3 years ago. If you have any info you can pass on about volunteer activites going on in the area later, please post it here.
