Quote They're back. Year 12 of the Nick Saban era at Alabama took another step toward the Sept. 1 opener. The first day of practice was Friday afternoon in a humid Tuscaloosa but there was at least some relief from an overcast sky. We'll get right into what we saw in the two-period media viewing period. -- No quarterback emerged in the 14 minutes we saw. -- Reading too much into anything would be a mistake but both Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa threw crisp passes in drills without defensive pressure. A few good tidbits about practice. Title: Re: Practice notes Post by: ricky023 on August 04, 2018, 11:54:12 AM I think we have a very young and promising coaching staff. We may get 2 solid years out of them before they go to coach somewhere else. RTR!

I am just wondering? RTR!

Because last year that was a problem for Bama...Ahha, we have some sure handed Receivers who field the punts I would think. RTR! Title: Re: Practice notes Post by: 2Stater on August 13, 2018, 06:23:15 AM Word coming out of other forums is that Tua is blowing Hurts away in practice.
And a Tweet from former Bama safety Will Lowery: Quote Disclaimer: this is the first scrimmage of camp, and the only practice I’ve seen. But from what I watched today, I’ll be shocked if Tua isn’t day 1 starter, and it isn’t close. Don’t expect an announcement prior to opening kickoff tho.. No stats were provided but unofficial talk from guests who attended practice was Tua had 4 TD's and no int's. Hurts has 0 TD's and 3 int's. Everyone that claims to have been at the scrimmage have said Tua was the better QB and it was not close. I cannot wait to see the offense with Tua at QB. I also feel bad for Hurts. He is a good guy, represents us well and won us a bunch of ball games. I hope he keeps his head up. If he is not QB1 I hope they find a way to get him some playing time.
