Title: Alabama Baseball Beats Jacksonville 9-5

TUSCALOOSA -- Josh Rosecrans' hitting and Trey Pilkington's pitching combined Wednesday to lift Alabama (15-7) to a 9-5 victory over Jacksonville State (15-7) at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

As the designated hitter, Rosecrans went 3-for-5 with a home run and a career-high four RBI. He also scored two runs. His two-run single highlighted a five-run third inning that gave the Crimson Tide a 5-1 lead. He led off the fifth with a home run over the scoreboard in left-center and added an RBI single in the sixth.

Pilkington (1-0), a sophomore right-hander, pitched 6 1/3 innings in his first start of the season. He allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits. he struck out three and walked one.
