I'm sure CAG will dress up Bama's schedule for next year compared to this year. He didn't have much choice with his schedule this year due to the uncertainty of what to expect from the returning players from last year, after losing two starters who transfered to other schools.

That is all water under the bridge now and Bama is playing in the NIT and I don't consider that a bad thing due to the national publicity that Bama has recieved for not being selected for the NCAA tournament. If Bama had been selected for that tournament and lost in their first game, the media would only have beaten them down as being from the lowly SEC West and probably shouldn't have been there.

Now if Bama can win their way to Madison Square Garden in the NIT, things will be different for Bama next year with the media. This is what I think CAG will use to build his program on. He will get some love from the national media next year, something that he deserved this year but got very little of, but is needed to get on the same level as Kentucky and Florida in the SEC.

Thanks Lee, yes I am blessed to live in Ttown and be able to attend so much of the sports that Bama has to offer. It was a big thrill for my wife and me to see Bama win, but the big thrill was to watch my grandchilren, ages 11-14-17, as they watched the #1 and #2 teams in the country battle it out. They had no idea of how much fun it is to watch these ladies play, but they do now.

I hope we can hook up A-Day and we might even get TAZ to tag along with us.

I heard some of Finebaum as well and he really had some happy lips, real loose. With the bingo trials about to start, maybe he's happy about something.

Man oh man, what a game. We had our daughter and 3 granddaughters at the game with us, they are from Cordova,Tn and it was their first game ever to see, and were they ever impressed.

Kelsie had a perfect game going through 5, great job by her.

Tomorrow will be a different game, Georgia has some big bats and Traina will have her work cut out for her. If she can get the ump to giver her some corners she might just get the job done.

You're right about LSU, haven't read much about them but their record isn't as good as it usually is. The Tigers have given Bama fits in the past years especially when we play them down there. It's still early in the year though.

I wish these game suspensions would be on the back side of the schedule rather than the beginning of the year. Most teams have the cream puffs scheduled then.

It will alaways be a struggle with the sections committee due to the bias of the folks that make up the committee. You can bet that anytime the SEC has 6-7 teams selected, there is someone from the SEC on the committee same goes for the Big East, Pac 10, Big Ten, etc.

This started when Cheezeit came to Auburn. First it was billboards and limos now it's the Bham News. I wonder how much help the News recieved from the Fambly.

It's amazing how much emphasis the NCAA placed on the SOS in basketball but it was the total opposite in football. 

I was taught many years ago about the problem with burning bridges behind you, you never know when you might have to travel that same road again. Be careful Mark.

Recently I was discusing my chain saw "won't start" problems with some friends and one of them said he had a saw that WOULD NOT start and if I could start it he would give it to me. I took the saw, fairly new one, home and read the instructions on how to start it. On the third pull it fired but did not start, I pushed the choke in half way and pulled and it started.

I immediatly called him and did not say hello when he answered, justed reved the saw up a few times for him to hear it, I won't write the names that he called me. I didn't keep his saw but I have been having a good time teasing him. The problem that I had with my saw was the carb needed some repair.
