LOTS of speculation on the coaching carousel.  The most salient chat for Alabama fans is discussion of Kirby Smart.  Will he take a job if offered?

I assumed that, because I've gotten mailings from most every insurance agent in North America.  Our recycled-paper container stays full these days.

Anyhow, hope your days aren't too stressful.  Those Permit bite during the fall too, ya know!  Plus, your balls are wanted on the golf course!

Probably if offered but I think it would be a big mistake for him. You better grow up if you want to coach in the SEC and he's a long way from being grown up. I would like to see him get a job with a mid-major before jumping into the SEC skillet. Muschamp is a good example.

I said the exact same thing to somebody yesterday. USCe is not a gravy job. CSS made them a more respectable team than they've ever been before, but you have to recruit well outside of SC to put out a winning team, for the most part. There's not a whole lot that's attractive about Columbia, SC.

Yeah, USCe is pinched out of the best recruiting regions.  Clemson gets much of the in-state talent, USCe can't compete with the big boys in Georgia, and the recruiting ground isn't fertile to their east.  It'll take a coach with dynamic personality to dig them out of their hole.

Tonight we get Aubs at Kentucky.  Should be a goodie.
