NALT - How important is the loader?

You have to get a 4wd if you get a loader.  Be careful about these 2wd's with loaders.

That's whats going to cause a jump in the price and make it harder find what you're wanting.  You can get a good old 2wd for 2500-4000 bucks easy, once  you start talking loader and 4wd they get harder to find at reasonable prices.

The loader is very important and I wouldn't have a 2wd tractor with one.  Makes them almost useless IMO.  I'm not oposed to getting one that is several years old as long as it is in reasonably good condition.  After all, it's gonna have to work...

We have a Ford - not with a FEL, but a good tractor. If you can find a Ford, they are reliable. Worked at a place and used a Kubota. You will not go wrong with one of those, either.

^^^ I have two Fords and have very little trouble- occassional belt, battery, once a universal-- routine stuff. Owned a Deere before the Fords, and wish I had all the money back I wasted on initial price and repairs. I have a 3 hour round trip to the NewHolland dealer but if I need a part, it is fedexed and in my drive the next morning.
