Hey bro! I went over to FB and invited Jody over. Hows that Grandson doin?

A he is doing great! Thanks. His class went to the state museum to see the C.S.S Hundley (replica) and they are excited because they are building one at his school !
With bunk beds.

Also some mother during Mardi Grasmade a king cake for his class. I had never heard of one until I was about 40..he's three.

How about your grandkids? Doing WELL I hope.

That sounds awesome R! Everyone here is doin fine. My granddaughter had her last open heart surgery (her third) back in Dec @ UAB and has recovered remarkably well!

That young man is 3 now?! Keep him spoiled my friend...lol

(when I was in the recovery room after having my gallbladder out I was loopy.  I was given my laptop and was chatting on TS..  I apparently was quite entertaining.  Calling Lawzoo Sweetie was one of the things I heard I did...  I remember none of it)

They haven't killed each other yet... lol.
The oldest is 13 and taller than me.. size 11 shoe.  He makes straight A's and scored high enough on SAT's that we're getting letters from Duke.  (98th percentile nationally)

I keep telling him when he grows up he has to hire his brother.

The little one is 10 and still challenging..  he hasn't brought me any more snakes in gallon ziplock bags but I have gotten to know his teachers quite well..  they text me, call me, email me...  He seems to think school is where you go to relax.

Duke? That was my first choice(Accepted but no money). Great school.98th % wow !!!

I'm not pushing the Duke thing..  they want him to take the ACT now and see how he does.  They also want him to do weekend classes and summer seminars starting this summer.  There are scholarships available but it's still expensive..  I would pay for it if I thought it was the best thing for him.  My hang up is the fact that he's 13.. if he does that when does he get a chance to be a kid, play baseball, learn social skills?

It's his call and I'll support him either way but I still feel that a kid needs time to be a kid.  He'll be grown soon enough.

His applitude test says he would be successful as a surgeon.  He's said he wanted to be a doctor since he could talk..  today he told me he might want to go into law because he likes to argue.  (rolling my eyes)

'I hope he does whatever makes him happy. Ultimately that's what's important. Frankly, I never encourage young people to go to Law school. The future in the legal field is  defineitly narrowing.

I can relate to that . My Dad wanted me to go to West Point(not a chance at an appointment) or The Citadel. Woken up at 5 in the morning to be yelled at?
