  Perhaps the most difficult thing about doing research about Alabama football is all the ancillary awesome stuff you stumble across. You won't believe the amount of time it can swallow. Take this morning for example. There I was, diligently digging through digital archives when I happen upon this...



Oh my, that's a level of epic you rarely see anymore and certainly not without a smidgen of irony as displayed here. It seems the late 1960s were an amazing time for fashion. Which, in and of itself is no great sin. But the effect becomes sublime with the setting, and the photographers for the 1969 Corolla yearbook seem to have been particularly frisky when it came to posing that year's beauties for posterity.

There's more after the jump but keep in mind... while the Austin Powers quotes are expected and encouraged, these are likely the mommas (or grandmommas) of someone you know.
