Title: Hurricane Dorian Post by: 2Stater on September 01, 2019, 04:47:14 PM Is a cat 5 with 185 MPH winds. It's hit the Bahamas in 2 areas. Let's all pray it doesn't make landfall in the U.S. This thing is a monster.
 Title: Re: Hurricane Dorian Post by: ricky023 on September 01, 2019, 06:21:30 PM It will sure tear up some stuff at the pace it is on. Father we call and declare your hands to steer this where you would have it go. AMEN RTR!
Title: Re: Hurricane Dorian Post by: N.AL-Tider on September 03, 2019, 06:44:28 AM Unfortunately for the Bahamas it parked itself there for almost a full day (at least 18 hours) so there may not be anything left of Grand Bahama after this. Fortunately for the coastal U.S. it has diminished in strength to a CAT 3. Hopefully it will continue to turn back to the north/northeast and move away from the country. My daughter in Beaufort, SC has already said that her job plans to work through Wednesday but then she will likely come home. I'd rather she not wait and head on back here today but...

We'll pray for her safety, NALT. This thing is no joke. The Bahamas have been absolutely slammed. I heard one official say that it could take years for them to recover from this, and I don't doubt it, based on the video I have seen. This is going to wreck the tourism industry there, and worse. I do pray that nowhere on the east coast takes a direct hit from this sucker.
