Coker enters his second season in Tuscaloosa as the most experienced quarterback on the Crimson Tide's roster. The Florida State transfer played in five games during the 2014 season as Sims' backup. He was 38 of 59 (64.4 percent) for 403 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions and a 144.16 QBR.

The rising senior was 18 of 36 (50 percent) for 250 yards, no touchdowns, one interception and a 102.78 passer rating as Jameis Winston's backup in 2013. Taking part in his third consecutive quarterback battle, this year Coker will be pushed by highly-touted recruit Blake Barnett, who is an early enrollee at Alabama, rising sophomore Cooper Bateman, freshman David Cornwell, and rising junior Alec Morris.

Gonna be a good QB battle. I think Bateman may give Coker a run for his money. I'm looking forward to seeing what Barnett has, as well.  :popcorn2:

This is why I don't understand all of the pundits saying that the barn is the team to beat next year. Their QB situation is much more unsettled than ours. At least Coker has some experience (provided he gets the job, of course).
