Good morning folks.  I think the rain is supposed to stop here this morning.  It actually hasn't rained hard here yet and I hope it doesn't.  When, and if, it stops raining here I'm going to hook up and head out to mow some swamp grass... I picked up two more yards this year on top of the three big yards I did last year.  If I can schedule them right then I might try and save one in particular for last.  It is a lake front home on Lake Guntersville.  The guy's next door neighbor recently caught a 25# catfish off of his boat dock...

That’s a big catfish. Either the guy is lucky or a liar. Get your pay in advance!

BTW one of my best friends from college grew up in a house on that lake. I stayed there a few times. Great sunsets!

He actually showed me a pic of the guy holding the fish.  I think the pic weighs about 7 pounds...   This house is on the wrong side of the lake for beautiful sunsets but I'm sure the sunrises are wonderful...

The Pensacola surf forum is full of stories of folks CATCHING NOTHING lately.  And usually the only ones who post are ones who were successful.  One guy caught nothing the entire week!  Even the expert guy, who is among the winners in the pompano contests, admitted that it's been a terrible year thus far.

Haven't heard any thunder here since I've come back up here. We just get a lot of light rain.

Mrs 2 and I will be going to Lowes this morning to pick out some flooring for the kitchen, since it has been violated. I get to spend more money. Yay!!! 

Every penny spent on home improvements is a penny less on golf, fishing, PegLeg...  HTH

I've got some flyfishing preparations to do today, unless the Masters is actually played.  I really don't want to watch Vern discuss the cloud formations during rain delays.

It's very cold, but spring is on its way.  The migrants are here.  My bird feeders are busy with Pine Siskins, Beautiful Goldfinches, and the ever-present cardinals, woodpeckers, titmouse, and chickadees.  Saw our first hummingbirds a few days ago, and they're here again today.

But just now I saw a Hooded Warbler in the yard.  Beautiful.  From the web:
