Alabama's star running back was challenged to produce Saturday night to stay in the Heisman Trophy hunt. And top-ranked LSU brought its biggest, strongest tractor trailers to confront the junior on all of his 28 offensive touches.
"Just imagine you got two 18-wheelers going at it," Richardson said Monday. "If you've ever seen, like, the 'Matrix' movie? That's how the collision was out there."
The physical pounding between Alabama and LSU matched the mental impact of a 9-6 overtime loss Saturday night to LSU.
The good news for Alabama? The Crimson Tide only dropped one spot in the BCS standings, which keeps them in the national title hunt.
Would Alabama like another crack at the Tigers?
"I would love to," Alabama safety Robert Lester said. "This is the second time they beat us. I would love to play them again, and play them again after that."
