The family wants John Madden to represent him at the ceremony in Canton. I think Coach Madden is an excellent choice.

Might be the only time you'll ever see this, but I agree with you MD. He was the most accurate QB of his era. No excuse for it taking this long, and to have it done posthumously? No excuse, IMO.

Having said that, I'm happy for his family that he finally made it.

Long overdue.  I just wish he'd been honored when he was still alive.

RIP, Kenny.   :-\

I've never understood why that is so common either, why not do it so that person can enjoy the special day with family and friends. :dunno:

True.  At your death they throw a great party in your honor, on the one day you can't attend!!

I'm confused. When I posted this yesterday I checked Wall-E first about this & nothing was there. Then, magically after I have posted this thread someone sends Wall-E to the QUAD for some unknown reason. Strange.

Exactly what I thought. I am happy that Snake is finally getting the recognition he deserves, but to wait until the man is dead is inexcusable. I'm no Raiders fan, but I wish those crazy lunatics from Oakland would show up en masse for this ceremony and make Kenny's induction the loudest of them all. It would be a fitting tribute.
