Fournette is a good back, no doubt.  But all of these people who think he is the next Herschel Walker and are already giving him the Heisman need to tap the breaks.

1)  I would look like a Heisman trophy winner against that Auburn defense.
2)  If the Heisman were awarded in September last year it would have been either Dak Prescott or Kenny Hill.
3)  Hill didn't even make it through October as the starting QB for his own team.
4)  What happened to Hill?  He played Alabama.  He never started for aTm again after that.
5)  What happened to Prescott?  He played Alabama.  Mississippi State was undefeated until they played Alabama late in the season.
6)  Let's re-evaluate Fournette in December once he has had an opportunity to actually play somebody that isn't afraid to tackle.  He may or may not look like a Heisman winner at that time.

I am not down on Fournette, I think he is a great back and possibly the best in the country.  I'm just saying let him play the game a little bit before we anoint him.  These same media idiots were saying that Jeremy Johnson would win the Heisman, and now for the second year in a row the media favorite doesn't even make it through the season as the starting QB on his own team.  They are all high on Fournette because of his showing against Auburn.  However this is the same Auburn defense that was ripped to shreds by JSU just the week before.  Fournette still has to play Alabama, so we will see how he does against a top defense then.

I know it was against Auburn and Syracuse, but I do think Fournette is a great RB.

The fact that Bama has a awesome run stopping defense doesn't change that.

It is ridiculous, and way too premature, to hear Heisman talk.  But it they're going to speculate, Fournette is more deserving to hear it at this point in the season than Jeremy Johnson will ever be in his lifetime.

We'll see how Fournette fares throughout the season, and against Bama.  But I thought before the season started that the Auburn hype was absurd, and that LSU would be the team that Bama would have to beat to win the west.  Nothing has changed my opinion at this point.

Yep, he may very well win it.  They should wait until he is finished taking the test though before they give him the A+.

I'm not sure it is fair to test a college player against an NFL defense.
