Serious time started when Coach Saban walked on campus.
3918  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: Hurt: QB race far from over on: July 23, 2011, 09:38:29 AM
In my opinion, as far as talent they are pretty equal.  The difference will be which QB will make fewest mistake or the best decisions.

But, when CGC heads hits the pillow he sleeps just fine at night.
3920  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: More Troubles for USC & Kiffin on: June 09, 2011, 10:13:08 PM
What he was talking about was their personality with handling the press and being in control.  However, he didn't mention that Saban has class and Kiffin doesn't.
3921  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: More Troubles for USC & Kiffin on: June 09, 2011, 04:29:30 PM
What is really sad is Colin Cowherd compared Kiffin to Saban, basically saying they were just alike.  Alos, he spoke about how he was cleaning up the program at USC.  How is that going to happen with Coach O there.?
3922  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: GREAT news this afternoon on: May 30, 2011, 08:41:16 AM
Out here in Tx, there are so many athletes some could get overlooked.  We had a OL guy who was getting very little looks from Tx schools.  He was told we would take you if the other guy doesn't commit.  He ended up going to KSU and was the first freshman to start on the OL for KSU.  He also was on the Saints roster when they won the Super Bowl.

Along with the injuries to Darius and Upshaw, many teams were incorporating a quick passing game. Especially, where they dumped to the backs, where coverage was weak at times.

I agree.  I don't know if I would call it base.  I think maybe they were hesitant to do some things with such a young D.  Honeslty, I like it when DH lines up at the DE position and they bring in another LB.
3925  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: A few spring game observations: on: April 28, 2011, 07:01:52 PM
I think the D needs to elimate the mental and physical mistakes they made last year.  They need to cut down on missed tackles, busted coverages, and play proper techniques.

I really didn't know about that.
3927  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: A few spring game observations: on: April 27, 2011, 05:07:31 PM
I really don't get a lot of PF out here.
3928  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: A few spring game observations: on: April 27, 2011, 04:50:57 PM
I think they have a chance to be very good.  I like the way they came off the ball the other day and got up the field.  That being said, I know the DL did not shift much or stem very much.
3929  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: A few spring game observations: on: April 27, 2011, 02:59:49 PM
I don't remember all the numbers.  Gibson may have been one.  Also, I think it was White on the other.  I say this not knowing the routes or how they have been taught.  It could also have been confusion on the route.

I am saying the EL fumble issue is way overblown. I said one was a helmet on ball and the other, the hole was so big he dropped the ball out of amazement. lol. But even ESPN Andre Ware brought it up again, which makes him think about it, like Mackey Sasser thought about getting the ball back to the pitcher.

I agree most of his fumbles were good hits, helment on ball where many players would fumble.
