Alabama practicing less for Clemson before this championship

"We were whipped last year (entering the Clemson game)," linebacker Rashaan Evans told CBS. "Even if you didn't play many snaps, it's very demanding because you practice more than you play games so (there's) constantly pounding on your legs, your shoulders, your head, just your body in general."

Offensive lineman Korren Kirven said is body felt "pretty broke down" by the time they played Clemson last January.

Receiver Calvin Ridley was in the same place 14 games into last season.

"It's been a long season," the sophomore said. "I remember last season I was tired, but this year I knew what was coming and I did it the right way and now I feel fresh. Last year I was tired in that game. I'm ready for this game."

It really sounds like everything is falling into place for the team. Couldn't happen at a better time.

So true NALT....so true.  Reading between the lines across several articles, it sounds like a lot of good & important stuff is falling into place.

CNS may not ever say, but we looked leg weary against Ohio State 2 years ago. 
Likely that we practiced too hard for them.
We might blow Clemson off the field, and have them playing grab-azz nonsense by halftime.

Good point. We were definitely fatigued against OSU and somewhat tired against Clemson last year. I'd love for the team to be fresh this time.

If we are fresh and leg strong we may be the one most dangerous play off team ever in any bowl game or championship game. RTR!

By virtue of the fact that we are the only team to make every play off since they started I think we have a very good argument for that.  If we win, it's a no brainer...

True.
As much as I hated Tuberville, one thing he did at every place he coached was keep the players fresh.  At Ole Miss he had few good players, but didn't even have full-speed scrimmages (to protect players from injury).

Much to be said for playing fresh and fast.  We'll need it on Monday.
