I think AJ can play a lot better. One he needs to do a better job checking down. I am really surprised he didn't get another slap on the butt for the little shuffle pass. The D play great assignment football, but will have to tackle better on the outside. In my opinion this team can go very far if they keep their head on straight. I do like the team unity/chemistry.

It is time for a little honesty. The question is: Is Alabama that good or was UM that over rated? I do think that Bama has a very good team and they very well could be the best in the nation. I also think they have room to improve. This was evident in the game notes where I spoke about AJM performance. I also know there were a few missed tackles. However, Bama played better assignment football with a lot fewer mistakes than the other teams I watched this weekend. The problem is I just don’t know if UM is as good as everyone make them out to be. Even if they had their #1 running back it would not have made that much of a difference. I hate to say this, but the jury is still out.

Thinking about depth I went quickly thru the game agian to see what players were on the field. I could not get them all, but here is what I came up with. I know there is a list of who played, but I wanted to see who was working in with the first group. Offense: RB: 42-EL; 4-TJY; 45-JF; 1-DH TE/HB: 89-MW; 31-KJ; 84-BV; 45-JF REC: 2-DW; 7-KB; 9-AC; 22-CJ; 83-KN QB: 10-AJM OL: 61-AS; 65-CW; 71-CK; 75-BJ; 76-DJF; 78-CL O that closed out the game: QB: 12-PE RB-HB: 21BC OL: 63-KW; 78-CL; 77-AK; 70-RK; 79 AS Rec: 81-DW TE: 82-HJ Defense: OB/DL: 54-JW; 49-ES; 90-QD; 92-DS; 42-AH; 57-DJP; 62-BI; 47-XD; 8-JP; 30-DD late, but with some of first group LB: 32-CJM; 35 NJ; 33-TD SEC: 3-VS; 6-HHD; 13-DB; 27-NP; 28-DM; 37-RL D that closed out the game: 11-TP; 24-GS; 26-LC; 16-BS; 30-DD; 44-LF; 57-DJP; ?5-CB; 10-JF Special teams:Not going to put all initials includes punts, punt return, kick off/return, FG/Xtra point; a lot of starters on here: 5; 22; 43; 51; 6; 28; 27; 92; 29;32; 10; 4; 45; 33; 2; 11; 18; 7; 31; 90; 76; 24; 35; 71; 25; 83; 49; 89; 19

I honestly think this is why CNS is so successful. He lays it on the line and does not sugar coat things like many people do today. If you screw up he lets you know it, if you do good he lets you know it. People have become to use to everybody gets a ribbon mentality.

I like the Druid City Beer depth chart that shows the defensive/offensive base in a PDF format. I found it somewhere on this forum.
Click here for linkThanks, that is a good one and I saved it on my desktop. If, for example, you can't make out the tackler's number (a 6 looks like a 5 or a 3 looks like a you can narrow it down by position or vicinity the tackle was made. BTW, could you see the Jumbotron from your house? No, but I don't have to go too far down the road to see the stadium.

I see this guy still has no class.
STILL KIFFIN: So much for all that talk about Lane Kiffin maturing. Just weeks after he was outed for lying on his coaches poll, Kiffin kept up his “Denis the Menace” act by banning walk-throughs at the LA Coliseum for opposing teams last week – a very petty move – and then going for it on 4th and 3 while leading Hawaii by 32 points in the fourth quarter on Saturday with Barkley still in the game.
He will numbskull his way into at least one loss. If Barkley gets hurt trying to run up the score their whole season will be down the toilet. I don't wish anyone to get hurt, but it would be such poetic justice if a key player got hurt and missed 4 to 5 games when playing late in a runaway victory, then see USC lose 2 or 3 of those games. I would love to see the fan's reactions towards Kiffin. USC fans don't follow football much. They are into movies and EPA protest marches. They think the Bronco chase made OJ famous. HTH What if the injured player had been a major organizer of EPA marches, but due to his injury he could no longer organize or participate in them? Kiffen would be fired and they would hire Oprah. I dont' know if Oprah would be a shoe in, there is some stiff competition out there: Al Pacino (Any Given Sunday); Gene Hackman (The Replacements) and Henry Winkler (The Waterboy) and lets not forget Denzell Washington (Remember the Titans)

I id see Saban's PC, and he addressed this. He basically said we have great depth at every position except OL and the secondary. I have a feeling every one will get to play against WKU, but I hope we have some depth when we go to Fayettville, because Tyler Wilson is far better than Denard Robinson, and he will test our secondary early and often.
He is a better passer, but doesn't have the mobility. I expect there to be a better pass rush with more blitzes. Also, didn't he get put out of last years game?
