Good morning folks.  I woke up cold this morning.  I'm still cold.  Not like the cold that Chech has out there in Colorado but cold here.  I bet Preacher breaks out his long underwear today...

... and 59 in Pensacola??

IT IS 60 DEGREES HERE THIS MORNING!!

Weird indeed! What's your high going to be today?

About 60!

No, 65-70 I think.

Was almost too hot yesterday (75-80).  I had to removed a few layers of shirts/vests/sweats.

At least it isn't snowing.

Good morning, CRS.  Coffee

Yesterday was one of the best fishing days ever.  Lots of action.
If you know trout fishing, imagine dozens of trout noses at the surface gulping constantly, plus occasional loud splashes as the trout exploded on floating insects.
Fun fun.

A buddy from Grand Junction, CO is joining me today.  He and I fished together last year.  First thing he'll hear: "You should've been here yesterday!"

Rained overnight.  The metal roof made it sound like heavy rain.  Regardless, it's moved eastward now and the skies are clearing.  46 degrees this morning.

Big win for the softball team last night: Bama 3;  #1 Florida 0.  See the thread for details.

And Ole Miss came back from a 4-0 UCLA lead to go ahead 5-4.  But with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th UCLA got a run on a wild pitch.  Then both teams scored in extra innings, with UCLA (the home team) winning 8-7 in the bottom of the 11th.
Great game; too late last night for me to watch it all.

Have a great day.

Good morning, all. That's a shame about Ole Miss. They've been on fire. Still, to play UCLA, a perennial power, that close on their home field, shows how good they are. Today's another day. Hopefully. they can tie the series up. Would be great if Bama could take game 2 from UF and advance to the WS.

Bama just needs to finish this thing today.

Ole Miss's pitcher (Lee) wasn't under control like she'd been in previous games.  Her season record wasn't great until recently; last night she reverted a bit.
Ole Miss was just a pitch away from winning the game in the 7th.  With 2 strikes on the batter, the OM pitcher threw wide, and the catcher couldn't handle it.  The runner on 3rd got home ahead of the tag at home plate, tying the score at 5-5.
Banging your head against the wall.

You just keep on catching fish. Apparently, that's good luck for Bama.

Luck has been with me lately, but (as you know) my fishing luck comes and goes.
Just hope Bama's win doesn't hinge on me catching fish.

Good morning, all.  Coffee

Preacher, I didn't land "the big one" yesterday, but I spent the entire day fishing; caught plenty.  Wish we could have a fish fry!

Bama's softball team lost to Florida yesterday, so the final game will be today.  It wasn't a good day for SEC teams.  The Aubs lost, LSU lost, Kentucky lost, Ole Miss lost (now they're eliminated), and A&M lost (to Tenn).  Some good games, but not what we'd hoped.  Full slate of games again today, starting with the Aubs vs OK at noon (CDT).  Most games are on ESPN, including the Alabama game (4PM CDT).  ENJOY!

Think I'll go fishing today!

I am hip to the fish fry Chechem. Today I am cutting grass and my Snapper it looks like locked up on me. I couldn't pull the rope then I braced and strained all I could and it gave way but it sounds like it is not firing. So, I am on our old mower cutting grass and it is a double blade and to heavy to pick up and sharpen the blades so one half a row at a time. Well back to work gosh it jars my back, lol. You all have a safe and wonderful day. RTR!
