MOBILE, Alabama -- Alabama commitment and Spanish Fort receiver Deon "D.J." Johnson was arrested and charged this morning with first-degree rape and is being held without bond, according to the Baldwin County Corrections Center's online jail log.

First-degree rape is a Class-A felony, which could carry a life sentence.

Keep in mind that one of Saban's inspirational speakers for the football team is a man who spent 26 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of rape.  So let's allow the legal proceedings to play out before we pass judgment.
