Beautiful start to the day at Hebgen Lake


Golden Eagle on its nest (sorry for quality; thru telescope)




Just before sunset and rain (it sleeted)


Thru telescope; a mile away; grizzly and elk.  I watched him for an hour (much better view than the pic).  The elk didn't seem to mind him being close.

More Friday Photographs:

I spent a good bit of the morning looking for wolves (none) and bears (PLENTY).  Here are photographs of "Raspberry" and "Snow".  Snow is a 3rd-year grizzly cub.  Raspberry is the Mom.  Hint: Snow is the lighter-colored one.

BTW, these pics were taken with my cell phone (from behind my car).  I've learned to take photos through my binoculars with my cell phone.  Better quality than with my old Panasonic.
