Assuming Trent Richardson heads to the NFL and starts collecting his well earned paycheck next year, let's look at what he's accomplished as it relates to all-time performances by men in Crimson.

Rushing Yards - Currently Trent has 1583 yards rushing in 2011, second on the all-time season total behind Ingram's 2009 season (1658 yards).  Trent needs just 76 yards against LSU to rush for more yards in a year than any Alabama running back has totaled.  Not to mention he's had one fewer game than Ingram in his 2009 campaign.  It looks like Trent will finish up 5th all-time in career rushing yards, between Mark Ingram and Johnny Musso.  Trent would need a 200+ yard game to pass Mark.

All-Purpose Yardage
- Trent currently has 1976 all-purpose yards in 2011, which puts him 3rd on the all-time leaderboard, and only 40 yards behind Bobby Humphrey's record.  Trent has amassed 1583 yards rushing, 327 yards receiving, and 66 yards on kick off returns.  41 all-purpose yards against LSU is all Richardson needs to own the single season record.  He's currently second in APY per game and will likely stay there (164.7 compared to Humphrey's 168.0).

Touchdowns
- With 20 TDs on the ground and 3 more receiving this season, Trent already holds the record for rushing scores in a season, breaking Shaun Alexander's 19.  Trent needs 2 more TDs to take over the all-time lead for total TDs in a season (record is 24).  He currently ranks 4th all-time in TDs scored for a career with 41.  He'd need 5 more against LSU to move into a tie with Ingram for 3rd.

Good stuff.  I put it on the front page.

I seem to recall he is very close, if not tied, with Cam and/or Tebow for the SEC record for most rushing TDs in a season.

Trent is a great standard for Alabama players, but yes, I'm greedy and so I look to see him next season also. RTR!

This is not a complaint but one can only imagine what his stats would have been had he not shared running back duties with Lacey and Fowler.

He broke Ingram's season yardage total playing one less game than Ingram, as Bama wasn't in the SECCG this year.

This is true, but he did have more carries than Ingram...12 more I think.

Wow. You only think of TR's stats this year since it was his only year as starter, but when you pacle these along side his stats from the previous two years and that ain't a bad career at all. BTW, I had no idea Ken Darby was third in career yards. ("DARBY UP THE MIDDLE!")
