This ought to give a shot of confidence to the younger players. Tenn is a very average team but our guys took care of them easily today and have to feel good about themselves. That gets us back to 6-6 in SEC play and 17-9 overall. We have a tough road game at Arkansas coming up. We need to keep winning. Today's win keeps our tournament hopes alive.

This ought to give a shot of confidence to the younger players. According to warrennolan.com our RPI went from 36 to 33 after today's win. Our SOS increased from 16 to 19. From what I read, it was a total team effort. I can't tell you how glad I am to see Gueye blocking shots in the middle. That's exactly what we need on defense.

One of the keys was our full-court pressure, used effectively during the second half. We got numerous turnovers with that, including one stretch where UT had 3 turnovers in a row, and we scored on each one. That gave us the 10-point lead with about 10 minutes to go (that lead was never challenged). |
