Full count... and he walks him. USCe now leading 3-2. That's two runs on walks, and three times USCe has had bases loaded. The first time, Arky pulled a double play to end the inning. But the other times walk in runs.

We caught a huge break last year after "giving away" the regilar season LSU game. The stars had to align just right and they did. We deserved to be in the NCG game and I will not apolgize for it.
With that being said we can not expect to get in as the # 2 SEC team anytime soon. We need to win the SEC and remove all doubt. I like the 4 team playoff a lot. The SEC was going to get screwed sooner or later and not make it into the BCSCG in the old format. This is a start to what we really need which is a full blown playoff.
I agree. There are two main advantages in this system for the SEC: 1. No getting kept out of the big game if SEC teams beat each other up and everyone has at least one loss. 2. The possibility of placing two teams in the playoff in those years where the SEC has two great teams. Being an SEC homer, I do believe that this system will keep the crystal trophy in SEC schools for years to come -- while USC, OK and OSU might look good against their conference opponents, I don't think they stack up to the SEC's best.

I think USCe has a better shot at beating Arizona than the Hogs. Yesterday they had to play a double header against two different teams and came away with two good wins. Also, it is easier for me to root for an SEC East team than one of Bama's main rivals like Arkansas. But I will be rooting for whoever wins tonight.

South Carolina beat Arkansas tonight, 2-0. Friday night is the elimination game, with the winner to play Arizona in the finals. Definitely a PAC12 v. SEC championship.
Might have to root for USCe for the 3-pete. They have been consistent all season and have the best chance of bringing the title home.

Here's a link to an al.com story with a little more info: Click here for linkI share all the concerns that Marshal and cb have voiced. We won't know the real story and all the risks for a while; until more details come out. Slive seems OK with it but he could be doublecrossed as the details unfold. IF the committee is composed of knowledgable football people, and IF they are required to watch all the games (at least the key games), and IF they actually watch all the plays in all those games, then at least they will be making an informed decision. (Yea I know...IF...IF...IF...) But all people have biases. It's not clear that the details have been worked out yet. All the announcement said was a four team playoff, and there has been some vague reference to a committee. The playoff would be a plus-one format within the structure of existing bowl games, with the title game at a neutral site to be bid out. These details, while important, seem still in the works.

Around Campus / The Quad / Re: Nation's concensus #1 recruit commits to Clemson

I apologize if this has been mentioned, but Dabo Swinney and Mickey Conn (Nkemdiche's HS coach) played football together at Bama and I believe were even roommates at one point. Also, Clemson has offered 4 players from Nkemdiche's team (he and 3 other) scholarships. Robert and another are considered legit D-I prospects, the other two really aren't. Mid-major level D-I recruits at best.
Also, there are a lot of rumors that Conn is going to be joining Swinney's staff. Maybe Mickey is trying to "Gus Malzahn" his way up to the next level?
Could be. At least Conn will get along better with Swinney than Malzahn did with Nutt.
