Im a Birmingham Firefighter and just wanted to share some of the destruction that I have witnessed in the past 36 hours.  I was at work when the tornado hit and spent most of the night searching for survivors of this horrible disaster.  I have seen more death and destruction this week than I ever want to see in my lifetime.  My prayers are with every one in Tuscaloosa and other towns dealing with the tragedy.  God Bless

Wow.

I know it's no consolation for what you've seen, but me and I am sure everyone else greatly appreciate your service.

I got the phone call lst night to stand down. Team one is returning home today. I am not sure why that is, but I am really not liking the rumors I am hearing as to why. Rumors and adding up the 2+2's...as soon as I find out, for fact, I will post. And you people will want to be pon your phone to your state reps.  Angry

they had Pleasant Grove on TWC a few minutes ago saying everything was checked and searched over
and that some of the residents were coming back to sift through the ruins to retrieve personal items .

Yes I took these pictures over the past few days.  My favorite is the cross.  That house had only one wall standing and yet the cross did not move.  I had chills run up my arms.
