No fish to report. Got called off of the beach early. My daughter's neighborhood got hit by a tornado. They had large branches that were damaged and still in the trees. They thought they had lost some shingles too, so I had to go check it out. They were lucky. No damage, and the affected trees are away from the house.

Some neighbors weren't so lucky. Downed trees, privacy fences, damaged roofs, but really no serious house damage anywhere, that we could see. Anyway, that ended a futile fishing adventure. We didn't get so much as a nibble.

Good morning folks.  I didn't check in yesterday at all did I?  Sorry.  Had to do some of my mowing by myself as the kids were with some folks from church since Thursday. They were supposed to stay with them until this afternoon but since my middle daughter came in from South Carolina we decided to pick them up yesterday.  Looking forward to going over to a friend's lake house this afternoon for supper and fishing.  Hopefully tomorrow morning I'll have some nice fish stories to share... 2, I'm really happy that your daughter's house was spared from the tornado.  Good luck fishing Chech.

Enjoy the lake house, NALT. Sounds like fun.

We are actually celebrating Independence Day today. My oldest daughter has 2 of her childhood friends from Tennessee in town, and they will be joining the rest of us for a cookout and pool shenanigans. Unfortunately, we have an 80% chance of thunderstorms today, so we may have to go to plan B. Wish I knew what plan B was.

There was plenty of plan B involved, CP. 

I managed to get all the food cooked before the heavens broke loose, and a good time was had by all. Now, I ready myself to play a little golf. I wonder if I should consider a plan B for that?  Thinking

Good Independence Day Eve! Really enjoying my time in P'cola. Kinda my last hurrah before the onslaught of getting ready for Open Enrollment. Finally got to play some golf yesterday. Played well, but still lost my money. My old golf buddy is retired now and practices a whole lot more than I do. He's gonna have to start giving me strokes.

I think Chech is either back home or headed that way. We may hear from him today.

I hope everybody has a good one today!

Good morning folks.  Chech, if you are travelling then drive safely and watch out for the idiots that aren't.  Enjoy your down time 2.  I'm sure you will earn it once open enrollment starts.  My daughter is supposed to leave to go back to South Carolina tonight.  I hope to get to see her this evening before she does though.  I have some things that I've been wanting to say to her but haven't had the chance yet.

Ditto: on the welcome home. I was out at 6:30 weed eating and cutting grass today. Gotta let it dry some. Mrs Dottie fired up the 4th of July breakfast which is Gravy and homemade biscuits with Cantaloupe. Yum Yum. You all have a blessed day today. Last holiday I believe before kick-off. RTR!
