Alabama practice report: Where's Minkah Fitzpatrick?
Alabama practiced again Friday. Observations include a new setup for the receivers and a new (old?) position for Kedrick James.

Good stuff.

Minkah Fitzpatrick continued to work with the cornerbacks. In a base look, he lined up at an outside position opposite Anthony Averett. Because of Fitzpatrick's versatility, watching where he is positioned at practice will become an exercise akin to a "Where's Waldo?" hunt. In the spring, he was at safety. Last year, he began the season at Star...

Hopefully Minkah can stay at corner.  That'll mean our safeties are playing well.

Looking for AA to play well this year. He came on pretty strong at the end of last season. Need Tony Brown to be the guy we all hoped he would be, this season. He stepped it up some at the end of the season, too.

Indeed, this is Tony's last year; last chance.  If he stays healthy, avoids partying with Da'Shawn, goes to class, prepares for games...  NEVER MIND!

Agreed. I haven't heard of him getting in the "doghouse" again so maybe this will be a better year for him. He sure has the speed and talent if he will just learn to use it in the right way.

Today is Fan Day, which should bring in a good crowd for their practice today. This is a change in the tradition of Fan Day as it is has been held on the first Sunday after the players report in for camp since CNS has been at Bama.

With the nice cool weather, should be a huge crowd.

The one thing that worries me about all of this team is Tony Brown. What in the world happened to a young man with his kind of speed and he has not played a big starting role since he got here? Why does he not return punts and kickoffs? RTR!

He played well at times last year.  But it's a tough position.
We have better, quicker, stronger, and more dependable players returning kicks.
Hopefully Tony will blossom this season.  He could definitely play in the NFL is he does.
