Stater Chad Lindsey came in for Ryan and played very very well. Then against Tenn. when Ryan came back in he also looked good. So I would say let Chad start againg and play Ryan in the first half. Then go with who ever is doing to best for the 2nd half. Your thoughts?

I agree. That keeps us fresh at center.

N.AL-Tider, CNS stated on his Radio Show two weeks ago when asked about the QB situation if Blake was the "Heir Apparent" his response was NO, not at all. I think the position will be wide open and who ever shows that they can handle the offense as it is by making the right reads and putting them in the right plays will get the nod. So I would say it totally up in the air and open to all comers. May the best man win.

We open next year with WV in the Georgia Dome.
I'll be surprised if Blake Sims isn't the starter (unless we get a transfer QB).

Chem, this is JMO Blake has made improvement in his passing game, but unless he makes more I just do not see him being the starter. Jake Del Rio has made vast improvement this year. I kind of have him as my favorite going into Spring Training.

You should have a QUOTE button to clink in the upper right hand of the post you want to respond to. Clink it and it will open a response window. Make sure you respond below the original post. You want want to clink preview before you post to make sure the quote is gray and your new comment is white. HTH

I think Del Rio is in the same situation AJ was 5 years ago. Del Rio is the back up if AJ goes down but they do not want to use his redshirt in mop up duty so Blake Sims gets those reps. Sims is a good athlete but he has not impressed me enough to think he has a shot at starting next year.

Exactly.

He hasn't impressed me either.  But he has improved.  He was turrible during the spring game.
My suggestion was that he'd start against WV, but others would play too.  By game 2-3 the new QB would take over.

Hey Peewee, welcome to the forum.  That's what I've been hearing too, Del Rio a favorite for what will be fierce QB competition in the Spring.

Thanks Peewee.  I don't get to listen to his radio show so I obviously missed that.  I just can't help but think that Del Rio will be starting "behind the 8-ball" in the spring to try and unseat Sims.  I guess that is what Spring ball and fall camp are for though, huh?  I have been impressed with Sims this year when he was in the game.  Hopefully the competition for starter next year will be a good one to watch... it was when he was battling A.J....

Hey Peewee, welcome to the forum.  Applause E-Cred, My question is what happened to Cooper and Parker McLeod for over in Georgia. Will they be in the race for QB?  Undecided, RTR!
