I said this long ago and that is why I didn't think the charges against Updyke for killing the trees were fair. I don't agree with what he bragged about doing but I'm still not convinced he did anything but call a radio show for a few minutes of talk show fame. These trees have been abused for years and should have been dead long ago.

I agree with 87 and MD.  The best part of the story is that Auburn fans rolled the trees after beating Alabama A&M.

Alabama A&M is not even a top 1AA team. They have lost 3 1AA games this year to Alabama State, Alcorn and Jackson State. That puts them in 4th place in the SWAC. Maybe the barn should join the SWAC. Of course their basketball team would still have trouble competing.

Is it wrong of me to find this hilarious? All the moaning and b-wording at Harvey for nearly two years, and it looks like it will actually be toilet paper after all that REALLY does in the trees. And it wasn't even over an SEC opponent, but a lower tier I-AA school.
