Title: Former Alabama QB's Call Out Saban
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 08, 2017, 11:00:58 PM
Talk about whining. All Hurts did was become SEC Offensive Player of the Year.

Quote
There's no doubt that Alabama head coach Nick Saban is one of the top coaches in the NCAA, but sometimes his communication methods can confuse and anger some of his players.

Last season, the Crimson Tide held three quarterbacks in Jalen Hurts, Blake Barnett and Cooper Bateman. All three were told they would have some sort of role on the offense and would be playing.

Sour grapes.  Of course there was talk about them playing -- QB competition was between the two of them through Spring and Summer, as Saban had no initial plans to play true freshman JH.  But they simply couldn't get the job done.  Apparently they still can't get it done, neither is the starting QB at their new schools.

The one who didn't complain, Cornwell, will be the starter at Nevada.

The "reporter" is a PAC-12 writer. Interesting observation from JOX yesterday was that his article was 19 paragraphs with 16 about Saban & Bama and he's a PAC-12 writer. It was a disguised hit piece on Saban and both players come off like cry babies. I'm sure they are embarrassed and you can expect them to challenge the story as not being exactly what they said. The writer was trying to get some attention since the PAC 12 is boring and nobody pays attention to them.
