Glad to see you back HSC. A good game summary as usual. I expected Milroe to start but I expected Simpson first on the bench. The coaches must think Milroe is the guy, or we would have seen more of the backups.
I was disappointed with the OL. Protection was not good and open running lanes were hard to find. Texas will be much better up front than MTSU. MTSU was bringing 6 rushers often daring Milroe to beat them with his arm.
I am glad football season is back!
My BIL, who use to coach, said he felt the RBs were making the run blocking look look worse than it was. He wasn't happy with their instinct and cutting to hit holes. |

I'm taking the "I'll believe it when I see it" approach this year. I'd be pleasantly surprised with anything better than 10-2. 9-3 wouldn't surprise me at all.

Howdy folks. Much cooler temps yesterday and today than we have been having. I'll take it but wasn't complaining either.
@ Doc, Runt and I drove out to Section, AL this past Saturday to see what vegetables the Mennonites had to offer. They had quite a variety of various things. Good looking veggies too.
I didn't realize there were Mennonites over that way. That's not too long of a drive for you. We've been enjoying some okra that church friends gave us the last few days. |

I was at "The Catch" game, as well as the Florida game with the bad injury. He was in impact athlete at a point that we didn't have them spread all over the roster like Saban's teams.
But I have to go with Mark Barron. He was a hard nosed defender!

Howdy folks. Rainy morning with a good chance of rain this afternoon too.
I noticed with the Hurricane coming toward Fla. we in East Alabama as far up as I-20 will probably get some rain. RTR! Hopefully I am far enough north of I-20 that I won't get any of that rain... Your grass cutting business it going to dry up without the rain! The Cherokee Purple tomatoes we got out late could use the rain. Our purple hull peas have pretty much dried up, but we had more than we knew what to do with. We've had 5-6 meals with them, put up about 25 pints in the freezer, and gave away an incredible amount to 8 or 10 friends. |

Julio is the obvious choice, but multi year All-SEC LBer Freddie Roach was a good one and is currently the DL coach and a heckuva recruiter. I saw Freddie's older half brother Tim Bowens (who.played WR under.Stallings) out eating Sunday lunch recently. Their uncle, who I go to.church with, owns a local restaurant where Freddie/Tim's Mom works. |

Howdy folks. Had computer problems this morning that didn't get resolved until moments ago. @ Preacher, did you say that CRS is gaining new members? That must mean that SC is ok and actively watching the board... No?  It's a plus of getting older. You meet new people every day, even ones that you already know. |
