Taylor Morton started at OLB 2 years at Bibb County. In 2009, the Choctaws advanced to the quarterfinals of the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 4A playoffs. Last season, they made it to the seminfinals. Morton was a leader on a stubborn Choctaws' defense that shutout six of 10 regular season opponents. Bibb County held the opposition to less than 10 points in nine of its 14 games.

He actually got his walk-on invite back in February, but still a good story that hasn't been publicized much.

I can't read the pay sites full articles which I saw discussing it earlier today, but I found this from the Centreville Press back when he was originally offered a walk-on.

He will show up to campus on April 16th to complete a physical and will report to camp on May 31st...

“I am honored and feel very good about getting this opportunity,” explained Morton.  “It isn’t a scholarship, but as an invited walk on I will be a part of the team.  Through hard work and faith, I can earn a scholarship and potentially some playing time.”...

Taylor is from my hometown. He is one of the nicest guys you'll ever know, and as many times as I've seen him play. I know he's a kid that'll give it everything he's got every single down. ROLL TIDE Taylor
