Anderson seems like a good fit. Who do they go after now?

Wow! Looks like his agent planted the phony story about him going to Arkansas in order to get the big raise. This actually helps the Tide, because I don't know if they can find anyone as good as him. This will be interesting.

It is not a good year to be looking for a coach. Ark, Tenn, Ga Tech, Ok and NC St are all looking for a coach. That is several high profile jobs.

You are correct. It seems the high profile programs are doing what it takes to hang on to their coaches. I still think, though, that there is young talent at some lesser programs these schools need to take a chance on. It may be there only choice.

Two excellent observations. With at least 5 major programs looking for a HC, someone will definitely take a chance with an experienced assistant. The mid-major route is the other main avenue for finding a new HC. The HC's of Butler, George Mason, and VCU are looking pretty good right now.

I heard rumors that the big-wigs at Arkansas did not want Anderson - it would bring Nolan Richardson back into the picture.

This link has a list of Tenn coaching candidates. They have Grant on the list.

We may as well get used to that, Grant will be on every college's wish list for BB HC forthe next 10 years or more, just like Saban has been. This statement does bother me:

There have been rumors that Grant is unhappy in Tuscaloosa, though I'm not exactly sure why.

I wonder if it's the facilites or the shadow of football or something else.    :(

Hopefully just wishful thinking from TN

:o rumors. What a terrible word to use in front of the children. They will asking when they can use them. I don't CAG is going anywhere he has worked to hard to long now to build his team. RTR!  ;)

Many of my fellow posters could be viewing the rumors through crimson colored glasses. Maybe he is happy, but maybe not, who can really say? Grant is a hot property, and if a truly committed BB program with outstanding facilites came calling, I would be worried.

Yes you might be true but right now I think he wants the accolades for building Alabama back to that NCAA lock every year. It sure makes him look even more tastier. RTR!

I don't think CAG would leave after 1 year. Now i'm not saying he won't leave because like was stated above if a true "power" bball school came calling then he would possibly leave but don't think it happens after 1 year. I think he's recruited too hard and coached these guys too hard to just leave all these guys hanging. all we can do is

hey Shady, I don't think he will leave either he has just got the crowd back in it and that means a lot to a coach too. RTR!
