Acceptance

Here is something I read almost everyday.  I thought I would share it.

And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today.
When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person,
place, thing, or situation--some fact of my life--unacceptable to me,
and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing,
or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.
Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in God's world by mistake.
Until I could accept my alcoholism, I could not stay sober;
unless I accept life completely on life's terms, I cannot be happy.
I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world
as on what needs to be changed in me and in my attitudes

In one of my prior careers I was the adminstrator of a large regional law firm. One of the senior partners would regularly come to me whenever anything happened which he didn't like and say "this is totally unacceptable". After hearing this line for several months I finally said to him " then you need to learn to accept it, because it is reality and it's not going to change just because you don't like it".  After that we got along fine.  Most of us waste a lot of energy fretting about things which we can't change or wouldn't matter if we could.

I love this and it touch my heart because of something that happen to me today. God Bless, I needed that.

That too.  When dad was dying I said that 30 times a day, or more.
