Title: 5 Coaches Who Could Replace Les Miles At LSU Post by: bama57 on November 24, 2015, 01:47:34 PM Quote Kirby Smart: Smart has coordinated some of college football’s best-ever defenses at Alabama. He’s been in the same position under Nick Saban since 2008. They are paying him a boat load to preclude him taking a non-Power 5 head coaching job. He’s only 39. He could be a candidate for a number of jobs. Though, it’s hard to see paying that much to get rid of Miles to hire a defensive coordinator. http://thebiglead.com/2015/11/24/lsu-replacements-jimbo-fisher-dan-mullen/Title: Re: 5 Coaches Who Could Replace Les Miles At LSU Post by: Marshal Dillon on November 24, 2015, 02:15:50 PM I don't see Mullen, Kirby, or Dabo going there. Gundy is a fascinating idea, but Jimbo seems the obvious one but does he want to leave the easy ACC conference?
:duh: Title: Re: 5 Coaches Who Could Replace Les Miles At LSU Post by: roll tide roll on November 24, 2015, 07:47:26 PM That list is laughable.
Smart being the exception. Mullens has his positives, but big risk for him, and bigger risk for lsu. The crazy cajuns finally got their wish. They have been trying to get rid of ol' les since the first year he got there. I hope it ends horribly for those of red stick. Title: Re: 5 Coaches Who Could Replace Les Miles At LSU Post by: BillBrosky on November 24, 2015, 08:52:09 PM The only possibility on that list is Mullens.
Forget Smart, doubtful they'll even consider him after the beatdown this year. Cajun anus is still burning over that one! Title: Re: 5 Coaches Who Could Replace Les Miles At LSU Post by: Catch Prothro on November 24, 2015, 09:13:00 PM The only possibility on that list is Mullens. Agreed. 1. He recruited Dak Prescott as a QB, not as a TE like Les Miles. 2. He has a better record over the past two years than Les, despite coaching the perennial bottom dweller of the SEC West, MS State. 3. He keeps MS State competitive with the top of the conference with lesser talent. 4. He can coach an offense that is something other than ground and pound. Les has a higher winning percentage at LSU than Saban did. LSU fans also view Saban to Bama as a lateral move. :lol2: Title: Re: 5 Coaches Who Could Replace Les Miles At LSU Post by: SUPERCOACH on November 25, 2015, 01:55:31 PM Mullen move from one SEC West team to another? This is a brutal league for on-the-job training as a HC. Maybe a place like Virginia Tech, UCF, North Texas, Minnesota or places like Memphis if their coach is hired by another program.
:popcorn2: Title: Re: 5 Coaches Who Could Replace Les Miles At LSU Post by: ricky023 on November 25, 2015, 07:03:33 PM I actually hope CKS waits at least another year because leaving right now would mess up our train of thought. We don't need anymore distractions during this run. It is ours if we keep our minds focused. RTR!
