Yep, that was our peak. The Gulf of Chernobyl yielded no Pompano today. 

By the looks of the pictures that Chech sent, however, he was having another banner day with the bass and the bluegill.

Yep, banner day here in Mississippi at the local ponds.  Caught about 7-8 bass and 4 big bluegills, all on flyrod.  Here is a sample:





But I do miss the beach...  and its many pleasures!

GOOD MORNING! 

LOTS of rain coming this morning, but nothing severe.  Atlanta got hammered yesterday afternoon.  We may have severe weather on Saturday morning. 
 

I'll check the forecast for beach fishing next week.  The tides should be better, and the water is warming.  Once it reaches 70 degrees, the fish seem most active.  BTW, a guy posted that he caught a bunch of pompano yesterday at Ft Pickens.  He posted pics too.

Good morning folks. Today is my Friday since Mrs. Nalt and I will be heading up to Charlottesville, VA tomorrow. I probably won't be on here at least tomorrow. Will try to check in sometime on Friday if I can.

Well, I looked at the forecast.  The tidal forecast is PERFECT, so if the weather cooperates we'll have NO EXCUSE for any failures.  Looks like Tuesday and Wednesday could be the best days of the month.  Let's do this!!  Anybody else?  Red Elephant?  Jamos?

Then it had to be at the first turn in. Nobody at Langdon Beach caught any pompano yesterday. Another guy there also caught a catfish and that is all that was caught at Langdon Beach. As we were coming into Ft Pickens, the only other rods we could see were at the first turn in. Those are the only 2 places where you can fish on the gulf side right now. They've redone Ft Pickens Rd.

Let me know which days are best for you, Chech. I can only commit to one day next week, either Tuesday or Wednesday, as I've got a pretty full week.

It would indeed, be great if Red Elephant, Jamos, NALT and anybody else who wanted to, to come join us!

Right now I'm planning on fishing next Tuesday and Wednesday.  We'll check weather in case it starts blowing too hard, but looks like 10-15 now, which is okay.
