Title: Alabama Players on NFL Practice Squads
Post by: Marshal Dillon on September 01, 2014, 08:26:59 PM
Interesting to see how some of the guys are doing. As usual, injuries are impacting some of them.

Quote
Players on a practice squad can practice with the team, but cannot play in games unless they are elevated to the active roster. Safety Robert Lester, a former Foley High and Alabama standout, started the 2013 season on the Carolina Panthers' practice squad and ended up playing in 12 games, with four starts.

Lester is on the Carolina practice squad again to start the 2014 season. Other former Crimson Tide players on practice squads are Adrian Hubbard, Nico Johnson, Anthony Steen and Michael Williams. Former Auburn players on NFL practice squads are Emory Blake and Onterio McCalebb.

Pete Carroll said that Kevin Norwood might see some playing time for the season opener on Thursday night.
