Opposing return specialists have been seeing a lot of threes from University of Alabama special teams this season. Freshmen Trey DePriest and Vinnie Sunseri, Nos.33 and 3, respectively, have invigorated the Crimson Tide's coverage units with some devastating hits.
"Those two guys have certainly done a good job so far. They're both instinctive. They can run. They can play. They've done a really good job," said UA coach Nick Saban.
When the UA coaching staff named its players of the week following the Kent State game, both Sunseri and DePriest were recognized for their special teams play. The two already have combined for 18 tackles, and while not all of those have come on special teams, the more memorable of those have.
