If we can quit dropping passes and play our position on defense we would be hard for anybody to beat. I hate to say this but in all fairness auburn would have beat us tonight. RTR!
Blasphemy!
Look men, they beat UGA. We all thought UGA was a top team. But in hindsight, what have they really done this year? They ran roughshod over the SEC East
and beat Notre Dame by 1 point in a tough game. But did you see any of the Miami whipping they put on Notre Dame last night? As it turns out, both Notre Dame and UGA were both extremely overrated. Everyone thought UGA was strong because they beat Notre Dame, and everyone thought highly of Notre Dame because they played UGA tough. That circular logic got a cold hard dose of reality last night.
All night last night the announcers were all giddy about the prospect of #1, #2, and #3 losing on the same day. I said there is a big difference between #1 and #3 compared to #2. #2 has been under the bright lights for 10 years, while the other 2 have never been battle tested.
Do ya'll not remember the 2009 season? I know ya'll haven't forgotten about the UT game and Mount Cody blocking
2 field goals. We also had to come from behind to beat Auburn with a final drive right at the end. Then G-Mac broke some ribs in the SEC Championship game, but they kept it secret and he still played against Texas.
Last night our team proved that they have the heart of a champion and can win when their back is against the wall. Sure, we do have some injuries at LB. #42 will get better with more reps and we may get some others back in a couple of weeks. And Auburn's OL is nowhere near as strong as Mississppi State's. Jalen is still driving the bus on offense. After they tackle him a few times they might run out of LBs too.
Victory is not guaranteed in the Iron Bowl, or any other game for that matter. But I sure as hell won't concede before we even play the game. I might not even do it after we play the game for that matter. Coach Bryant once said he never lost a game, but every now and then the clock hit 0 before they got finished playing. Why give up before the clock has even started?
