LOL on this Aub's comments about the Jovon saga.  I highlighted the dumb parts):

Do not believe every single thing you read and here, ESPECIALLY if it comes from “anti-Auburn” avenues such as The Paul Slimebaum Show, The New York Times, Thayer Evans, etc. The usual hack jobs that allow their titles to make them believe that their word is law and their opinion means more than fact. Just sit back and allow this situation to pan  out. KEEP IN MIND, why would the coaching staff or even a rogue booster risk all for a four star running back? It is not as though Robinson will change the entire culture of Auburn Football. Will he be a good RB for Auburn in the future, yes I believe so, but why would this be the one guy that Auburn used “illegal” means in order to get him to Auburn. That just does not add up. Add in the fact that Alabama is having their own issues with Ralph Cindrich as well as the transfer of DT Darius Paige from Pensacola to Foley, AL. Auburn is set to have a big year in recruiting for the 2013 year which has been Chizik’s plan since he arrived four years ago. Let this all play out and Auburn will come out on top. Until next time, I believe in Auburn and love it…….

  I tend to agree with that statement. 

Auburn is set to have a big year in recruiting for the 2013 year which has been Chizik’s plan since he arrived four years ago.

Why did he plan on not recruiting well until the 4th year?

Auburn freshman running back Jovon Robinson has been ruled ineligible to play this season following the revelation that at least one of his high school grades was changed.

He was ruled him ineligible Friday after determining Robinson would not have qualified without the grade change. Robinson's immediate plans are unclear.

Robinson's high school guidance counselor at Wooddale High School in Memphis admitted to changing the grade, and resigned. Robinson has not practiced at Auburn since Aug. 10 after the grade change was revealed...

ONE guy?! That reminds me of the old joke about Mrs. O'Leary watching the news and the top story was about a car going the wrong way down a 4 lane highway. Mrs. O'leary was concerned because she knew her husband was driving on that highway, so she called him on his cell phone. "Edgar, you be careful on that highway, they just reported a car was going the wrong way on the very same highway you're on". Edgar replied "One? There's hundreds of 'em!"

... or maybe the car's not in his name, so he can't buy a tag.  In truth, there's little chance that anyone associated with Aub bought him a car.  It appears to be family money.  Regardless, he's unlikely to ever see the field at Aubland after this transcript fiasco.  In the least, he'll spend a year elsewhere.  Then?  Tenn?

The obvious would be he can't afford the TAXES--no tag.

Meanwhile, this Auburn-Memphis recruiting is being scrutinized widely, and rumors are flying this week that some national stories about it are about to break.  Finebaum has been hinting about it, the Memphis news has been hinting of a Yahoo and ESPN story, and one of today's prediction articles mentioned it: "There are strong indications Auburn may be soon dealing with more bad press regarding its recruiting efforts."

True or not, today's reading keeps it interesting:

... My source says the NCAA has been digging since the Cam situation never giving up. The changed grade on Jovon Robinson gave them a source to start with. This source finally broke down and confessed that the volleyball coach at Wooddale HS was the one who had the grade changed. She also provided Jovon as well as other's rides down to unofficial visits to AU. She is a Auburn grad and many think she may be the delivery mechanism in the Cam and other money transfers. Also MSU is in trouble over the Will Redmond case where he was basically bought and paid for lock stock and barrel to come there. Rather than pay severe penalties MSU agreed to turn on Auburn and this may be more of a crucify Trooper situation than a crucify Auburn case.He is truly in their sights and they want him bad. They apparently caught him in some lies. One this about the Volleyball coach is she took Robinson down to a unofficial visit without notifying his mother. On the way home the car allegedly broke down and they had to pull off and spend the night at a motel. The next morning the mother put an APB out on her son. To say she was none to happy when he showed up with the volleyball coach...

Maybe they have been trying some type of mouth to knot hole resuscitation on those trees to keep them alive, but it sure doesn't seem to be working very well.

More rumors and expectations of a breaking story:

Couple of things: First, Veazy of the Commercial Appeal has continued to stay with this story. I doubt he has the resources or connections that some in the national media (Yahoo, ESPN, etc) probably have. He hasn't let it die, in my opinion, because if or when it breaks, he'll be the one credited with orginally breaking the story.

Second, the Memphis School System has been mute on the subject. We know grades were changed, yet the school system has announced no formal investigation. Other than a couple of blanket denials by some of the counselors involved, no one is talking.

Third, Byron De'vinner, the 7 on 7 coach for Robinson and Redmond a couple of weeks ago said via Twitter he was holding a "press conference" in order to clear his name. For some reason, he decided it was best to keep his mouth shut.

And, finally the Memphis Gay Blade Mr. TennStud. We should know if anything slimy is happening in Memphis recruiting he probably has a handle on it because he has been involved or knows the parties involved. When he was on Finebaum several weeks ago, he acted rather confident that the NCAA had the "goods" on Auburn and possibly MSU.

We know whatever is going on in Memphis is at least serious enough to cost one MSU assistant his job. I'm thinking other orange and blue dominoes are about to start falling. ...
