And so does the basketball team.  You will not believe it when you see what happened.  It will be all over ESPN.  We finished the game with 3 players against 5, out scored them to make a huge come back, and got to within 3 points with a minute to go.  We ended up losing but that is why we fight until triple zeroes on the clock.

Well, if no one else is gonna say it, I will:

CNS and the staff were out -coached..by a HS coach and a bunch of wannabes.  The players played hard, made some mistakes that could have been overcome, but I for one lay this loss at he feet of CNS and the staff .  If the CBS play by play guy can call a TD play, you know the staff did not look at the film.

Really?  So far in this thread I have read that the players are not playing to win and the coaches did not watch the film.  Absurd!

We ain't out of it yet. Most people are predicting us to be #4. Let's get on a neutral field, without home cooking refs, and healthier players, and I like our chances, over the barn, over anybody else.

4 really?  I was thinking 5 behind OU, Clemson, Auburn, and Wisconsin, in some order.  We certainly have a good chance to be in the top 4 a week from tomorrow.

5 is realistic.  Then it depends on what happens in the Conference Championship Games.  If OSU beats Wisconsin, will they take a 2-blow-out-loss OSU over a 1 loss Bama?  Maybe not.  I think pretty much SEC Champ, ACC Champ and OK if Big12 Champ are a lock.  Wisconsin is a lock if they win.  But if OK and/or Wisconsin lose, then Bama has a shot.

You have a point '67... To me Bama did not look fully prepared for this game.  Not quite ready to play the game.  Not fully up for it.  Some of that's on the coaches; some on the players.  Our O looked hapless and unimaginative.  If this is the best Dabol's got...OY!  Help us Lord.

One thing about not playing is a Conference Championship Game is that Bama will only have one loss.   That keeps Bama is the discussion, but other teams could get a bump by being conference champions.  It really depends on who wins which game.

Bottom line for Bama is that we do not control our own fate.

Agreed. A Wisconsin loss is Bama’s best hope. The only problem I see with the scenario is that would put 2 SEC teams in the playoff. I’m
 not sure the committee would do that. But, you never know. I haven’t lost hope.

Some of the "experts" were saying that OSU would probably go ahead of Bama even with 2 losses.  :eyeroll:

According to them our best hope is TCU beating Oklahoma.

Personally I think if either TCU or OSU wins we will be in.  I give us about a 50/50 chance at this point.

I hope we get in and play these ****** again for the national championship.

Every power ranking I have seen still have us #1. This is done by computers. That will change when others teams play next week and some get quality wins. You will notice these power index are very different but they both have us on top.

I just don't see with how hated we are that we can make it in. It is totally unbelievable but I sure hope so. I would love a #4 seed and get the big dog out of the way. Everybody knows we will be rested and ready though so they are gonna stop us anyway they can at all. RTR!

I can't understand how Bama, a team that has been no. 1 from preseason to the last week could be left out of the playoffs.

If Wisconsin wins, they're in and we're out. If OSU wins...who knows what the committee will value. In 2011 and 2012 everything broke our way when we lost and couldn't control our outcome. Maybe it will happen again this year.  I think a healthy and angry team would win the playoff, especially a rematch with the boogs.

As for me, after losing to the booger eaters, I don't give much of a red rats rear end what happens..

and yes, that game means that much to me..and it does to a whole helluva lot of people also.  Heck we ran off a pretty good coach one time 'cause he couldn't beat the booger eaters..and even CPBB was criticised at times.

My opinion still stands..we were out coached..and that is a pure dee d*mn shame.

And the difference between CPBB and CNS..CPPB always took the blame himself.

I guess you did not watch the post game press conference where CNS did just that.
