Back to P'cola this morning. Many thanks to J, Mrs J and their friends for a great weekend. We all had a blast and they were terrific hosts. Making lots of plans for the future to include fishing traveling and A Day. Y'all need to get in on it!

Count me in!  I plan to be over in Tuscaloosa more this year, and will be there for A Day.  Last year we had mucho fun.

Loooong day yesterday that started with some productive work on the Habitat house, then fix-'em-up jobs around here on a leaky faucet and slow drain, and then into the national forest to visit with a friend.  The Forest Service was doing a controlled burn, so we watched the world burn around his property.  By dark we were sitting by a bonfire enjoying brews and watching the stars.  Saw some falling stars, satellites, and plenty of cool constellations.

Safe travels, 2.  See you on the beach!

Morning All. :wave

2 just left, wrapping up a fun weekend for all of us. I think we included as much that could be included in that short period of time and except for the cooler air, everything went great. We did include a visit to the river to watch the Rowing Team compete against Eastern Michigan and I will say, the Bama ladies were taking care of business pretty easily. On our visit there, Bill Battle arrived and parked next to us and we were able to have a nice conversation with him and wished him well on his retirement. He was quick to say that he wasn't moving anywhere, just leaving his job. We also took a tour of Tuscaloosa and made our way over to Crowne Point where CNS lives as well as some other Bama coaches and ex coaches. For those of you that are familiar with Tuscaloosa but haven't been back in a while, it's not the city that it used to be as it has really grown with some massive and beautiful subdivisions. Also downtown Tuscaloosa is not the same as well, it has grown with lots of hotels and restaurants to accommodate the U of A.

We also managed to get in some baseball and softball with softball being the better choice. The girls played well after the two loss weekend the week before. They are going through a few growing pains but the talent is there and I think they have a very good shot at going back to Oklahoma City.

On Friday we played 18 holes of golf before the softball games and had a great time. The weather was just gorgeous and we all managed a few good golf shots that always makes you want to go back and play again soon. I haven't played any since last summer so it was good to be out with my golfing buddies again and with 2 being able to join us.

ADay is just around the corner and 2 is planning to come for that and Chech says he's planning on coming as well so maybe we can work on a little tail gate party before the game. I will work on that and the rest of you can pray for some good weather that day.

Hope everyone has a great day. Pray Cheesy

Good morning folks.  Cold here this morning, 29 degrees when I finished my 5 mile walk right at 7:00 this morning.  Yesterday was really nice but it stayed pretty cold.  The wind is what made it feel cold.  We took the kids to UAH for a weather expo they were hosting.  Lots of things for kids to do.  We were going to head over to Decatur for their Mardi Gras parade last night but decided to forego that and just watch the parade in Huntsville.  That was a very short parade by Huntsville's normal standards.  Not sure what this afternoon holds in store yet.  I need to build some drawers for my dad's travel trailer so I might try tackling that.  I also want to run some 6-2 copper wire for a welder that I recently got.  Or, I might just lay back in the recliner and snooze all afternoon...

Definitely going to be in Tuscaloosa for the A-Day game this year again.  I'm really looking forward to it this year after the recruiting class our coaches brought in.  Who knows?  I might try and slip away from the football game to go watch the Tide softball team that afternoon too...  Looking forward to seeing everyone...

Definitely sounds like A Day will be fun, especially with you, Jamos, and your NALT crowd.  The softball game sounds like a good plan; let's do that too!

I'm hoping to play golf with the gang while there.  Jamos and I are both trying to play without full-healthy bodies, so you other guys may beat the crap out of us!!  Who cares!

Meanwhile, we'll plan another beach getaway as soon as the weather cooperates.  March is the PRIME TIME for pompano fishing, so I hope to get there often.  There are 3 gun shows during March, so it'll take some imaginative scheduling!

I tried to take a pic of Bill Battle (featured by the pointing finger), but was photobombed by guess who?

Yessir, Chech, ready to do some more surf fishing! Let's start watching the weather for a little later in March, and make plans. I may have to go to Greenville the 2nd week in March.

Jamos, thanks again for everything. I had a blast with you guys.

HEAVY RAIN HERE THIS MORNING  Coffee

Been raining for a while.  No thundering much; just rain (and lots of it).

Enjoy the morning, albeit a Monday.  I'm off to the gym, then coffee (again), then work around the house.

Alabama won 3-2 in softball, but lost 5-2 to Oral Roberts in baseball.  Not much news from the recruiting weekend.

 Kiss

Good morning folks.  Cool here but no rain...yet.  I was hoping that we would have a pretty nice day but from the looks of the image that Chech posted it looks like it's just a matter of time before we get wet.

Yeah, that image is a gif file, so it shows progression eastward.  Fortunately it is also diminishing in intensity as it moves.  Just about done here; about 1 inch of rain.

I think the latest forecast is for rain to start here around mid-morning and only rain for about 2 hours.  I can accept that...

Good Monday morning! I must have been tired. I slept 10 and a half hours.

I am refreshed, however, and today it's back to work. I think we get that rain tonight. Everything is greening up around here and the bugs will be taking over this summer. Such is life. I can deal with it. Everybody have a good day
