Well I wish I could go but my injury will not allow it. Last time I was at Superdome area was in 1991 when Tenn. played VA. I sure am going to cheer from my recliner though. Sound like a red-neck Alabama man huh? Popcorn and Coke Zero and recliner with computer at the wall. lol, I do hope everybody has a safe and fun trip. RTR!
Sounds like a great way to watch... I might envy you and your recliner if we lose...or have the peebags thrown.  With it being in New Orleans there are plenty of riff raff LSU fans there 365 days a year.  I know a guy who was shot in the face while his baby slept in the next room in New Orleans...all over a laptop.  I'm not a fan of New Orleans but maybe they will surprise me.  The ones I know in real life are great people...it's just the jerks of the group are very vocal...and very drunk.
For those that haven't been to NOLA the French Quarter is must. But it is a tourist trap that most responsible locals avoid like the plague. You can still go to the BCSNCG without hanging out on Bourbon Street. New Orleans is a wonderful city with great restaurants and history. Avoid the troublespots, especially at night, and you will be fine. Kind of like porn on TV,--if you don't like it don't watch it. HTH

The only other time I've been to New Orleans we just drove around in our cars or walked- nothing major was going on.  What's the best way to get from the hotel to the stadium...5 mile distance from Metairie.  I rode that trolley looking thing when I was there but I'm thinking it is more for a tourist activity than actual mass transit...right?  So..cab, what?

Now that i think about it, we won't have problems unless people are trying to rob folks.  We're too good natured to get into a fight but if somebody wants your stuff it doesn't matter how sweet you act.

You can drive right into indoor Superdome parking.

I used to love Cafe du Monde back in the 60s.  But about 1980 it changed to Asian servers (with no personality).  It was like being served by the Vietnam mafia.

Too bad; love the food, memories of my Dad taking me there, great coffee.  Maybe I'm getting old.  Even my post count is high. Sad

I seem to remember "Man vs. Food" going to NOLA and finding a pacle where they make some outstanding fried chicken. Anybody know what this pacle is and where it is?

Dunno but I went to "Melt" in Cleveland where Man VS Food filmed and it was CRAP.  That's what I get for trusting a yankee's version of "good food."
