Good article.

One day, when the anger at Texas has eroded and the euphoria of their SEC gambit has worn off, the Texas A&M community is going to eventually wake up and wonder how the heck they let this happen. One day, they’ll look in the mirror and see a program with no traditional rivals, no geographic conveniences and probably no more glory than they’ve enjoyed for the past quarter-century as a wannabe football power.

Must be a long horn fan that wrote that article. I think Texas needs TAMU as a rival as well. I don't see the big 12 being around much longer. They formed that conference 15 years ago and 2 schools left last year.

The Big What? They are at 10 now with A&M , Missouri and others wanting to jump ship at the first chance. look on the bright side, SMU wants in.

I tend to agree with the article. aTm is going to need a dancing partner and I am not sure who that will be. The money will be nice but they will lose a lot of natural rivalry games. I believe they need Texas more than they will admit.

I understand what you are saying but the same thing was said about Arkansas in the early 90's when they came to the SEC. They will tell you it is the best move they ever made.

I heard the same arguments when USCe and Arkansas were added in 1992.

I agee with Coach Hank Crisp Arkansas and USCe have been good additions to the SEC. We need to keep them and they do not want to leave. I like the 12 teams we have now but it appears expansion is inevitable.
