Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron and LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu became just the latest duo to engage in a seemingly endless parade of Twitter tussles with a testy exchange that added more fuel to the already heated rivalry between the schools.

McCarron and Mathieu became quite familiar with each other after two meetings between the Tide and the Tigers in 2011 and will meet again this fall on Nov. 3.

True, J.  I applaud the coaches (CNS) for not allowing freshmen to talk with the media.  This (IMHO) is worse.

Agree with some of the other comments. Our guys should be above this kind of nonsense. Let HB run his mouth all he wants until November 3. Besides, sees he didn't have to many individual accomplishments to talk about after two games last season.

AJ, I speak to you as a fan and hopefully as a friend. You are a National Champion, speak like one and act like one. When you let the little pull you down to their level, you become little also. Just wait till Nov. and if you win show him the scoreboard and if you lose just shake his hand. I really believe this will show Alabama is above and beyond. RTR!
