This has been a great series so far for this team, something that was needed in a very bad way. Just maybe they can get the brooms out tomorrow. ROLL TIDE!!

Austen Smith's walk-off home run leads Alabama to 8-6 victory over Vanderbilt

Quote
Austen Smith hit a three-run walk-off home run to send Alabama to a dramatic 8-6 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide rallied for four runs in the ninth inning to clinch its second SEC series victory of the season.

With Alabama trailing 6-4, third baseman James Tullidge and Taylor Dugas rapped back to back singles to lead off the ninth. Tullidge scored on a Hunter Gregory sacrifice fly. After a flyout and a walk, Smith delivered with the two-out blast to left-center field.

The baseball team was once 1-8 in the SEC. They've gone 5-3 since and are showing some signs of gaining some confidence. A good stretch run would go a long way to turning this season around and making the SEC tourney.
